Michael Palmer approaches painting with a re-occurring theme exploring vulnerability and Isolation whether out in nature or internally. Introducing us to the world seen through his own photographic archive together with media coverage and historical references, with personal and social fragilities combined to capture a single moment. This approach helps to convey his own authority to the subject and by degree removes it from the original source material, whilst remaining present within it.
